Description
This is a pack of eight Automatic Brake Controllers, the economical way to add prototypical DCC braking to several sections of a layout at once. Each unit generates asymmetric DCC to trigger the ABC braking feature found on many decoders, including Lenz silver and gold, Zimo and others.
Each controller slightly reduces the voltage on one side of the DCC waveform, by around 1.6 volts, which an ABC-capable decoder reads as a brake command. The locomotive slows to a gentle stop and then accelerates away smoothly when the circuit is released. At its simplest, a toggle switch across the SWITCH terminals holds a train wherever you wish.

Locomotive decoders must be ABC-capable and configured accordingly. Still manufactured and fully supported as part of the Classic range.
